Yes. Bring a leash. If your dog barks, wanders to other tables or jumps up at people, the staff will ask you to put it on, because some guests are frightened of dogs. Clean up after your dog, on the lawn and on the paths. Our team cannot hold or watch it for you.

Is it suitable for children?

Yes. There is lawn and open space beside the seating and a path around the lake. High chairs are limited, so ask when you arrive. The lake is deeper than it looks, so keep small children in sight.

House and estate rules

Banyoo sits inside Pecatu Indah Resort, which is a residential estate with people living and walking in it. A few of these rules are ours. A few are the estate's, and are not ours to bend.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome here. Keeping it that way needs a bit of care from everyone who brings one.

Bring a leash and keep it on the table, even if your dog is usually fine without one.
If your dog barks, wanders to other tables, jumps up at people or goes for someone else's food, the staff will ask you to put it on the leash. Please take that well. They are asking because a guest has said something, not because they want to.
Not everyone is comfortable around dogs, and some guests are genuinely frightened. Keep yours close to your own table.
Clean up after your dog, on the lawn and on the paths. Ask us for a bag if you need one.
Our team are here to serve food. They are not able to hold, walk or watch your dog.

The lake

The lake is part of the estate, not part of the cafe, and it is not a swimming pool.

No swimming, for people or for dogs.
No fishing.
Please do not feed the ducks. Bread is bad for them and it teaches them to go after plates.
The bank is soft in places and the water is deeper than it looks. Keep an eye on small children.

The estate

People live here. It is the reason the roads are quiet enough to be worth walking.

Drive and ride slowly inside the estate. There are people jogging and children on the pavements from early morning.
Scooters park at the cafe. Cars go in the car park by the lake, roughly 100m away, not on the grass or the verge.
Take your rubbish with you if you have been out on the lawn.
Drones need permission from the estate, not from us.

In the cafe

When it is busy the team may ask you to share a larger table. It is a small floor and that is how everyone gets to sit down.
No music from speakers, please. We put live music on ourselves and otherwise it is quiet here on purpose.
Outside food and drink is not allowed at the tables.
If you are working, mornings are the quiet stretch. Around lunch we need the tables for people eating.

It is almost always because another guest raised it, and it is never personal. Say something to us if you think we got it wrong.
